Claudio Arenas, CEO of qScire, and Joaquin Figueroa, the company's CTO, co-founded qScire, a groundbreaking company focusing on developing technology in Resistance, an often-overlooked element in the semiconductor industry.
With a background in Solid State Physics & Electrical Engineering, and years of experience in the hardware & semiconductor sector, Claudio and Joaquin are on a mission to bring Chile’s academic research on material science to the Canadian semiconductor industry, specifically in York Region, backed by years of scientific research and vast experience in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), theoretical and experimental physics, software and electronic engineering, cloud computing and security.
qScire aims to bridge the gap between Industry and Applied Sciences through its product, Quantum Interconnect Explorer (QIE). QIE is designed for accurate resistance estimation combined with a capacitance calculator for advanced circuit interconnects. This software not only influences design efficiency and time to market but also significantly reduces costs associated with the design cycle.
Their focus on elevating resistance’s part in the semiconductor equation has not only positioned qScire as a trailblazer in the semiconductor industry field, but also opens doors to overlooked opportunities.
With a predominantly technical team, qScire is able to overcome the challenge of bridging the gap between technical innovation and business through the help of ventureLAB’s advisory services - equipping the team at qScire with the business insights required to effectively navigate the semiconductor industry, allowing the team to articulate their services with both technical and business-oriented audiences. Through the Canada Catalyst program, ventureLAB is aiding qScire in establishing its presence in the North American markets.
qScire’s journey, backed by ventureLAB's support, speaks to the massive potential in global strategic collaboration. As qScire continues to grow and impact the semiconductor industry, with ventureLAB's support serving as a catalyst for their success, qScire is well-positioned to continue to drive advancement in the semiconductor industry.
