Baseband Technologies specializes in ultra low-power GPS receiver research. Their team consists of highly qualified professionals that have decades of experience in the GPS space. By 2025, there will be 75 billion Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices in use. IoT devices are physically small, only a tiny battery can fit inside an already compacted space. Energy consumption is the pain point as it comes at a premium. Conventional GPS chips consume too much energy, so devices must be recharged every few days. This makes it impractical or even un-usable for the intended IoT applications. Our receiver technology is ideal for IoT applications because it consumes very little energy, so even a small battery can power our receiver for months. They do this by utilizing two signal processing algorithms. Their customers are internationally known consumer, industrial, and defense device manufacturers. Using their receiver technology, their consumers' location-based products can obtain position fixes that consume 100 times less energy than a low-power GPS chip.
